Our Midian
OUR MIDIAN is a 501(c)(3) public charity organization founded in 2020. As former teachers in Dallas, we have witnessed the effects of poverty and the circumstances that can result from a lack of quality education. We have observed and can speak of the many obstacles and barriers that our former students have faced during their educational experiences. Unfortunately, some of these obstacles continue to affect the community leading to a cycle of low income and crime.

Deidra is a native of Dallas, where she previously worked as a Certified Teacher. She has over 25 years of experience tutoring math and has a passion for inspiring children to just be better than they were the day before. She is a wife, mother, sister and daughter.
Demorris Vance
Demorris Vance
Director of Math Instruction
Demorris was born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi. She is very proud of her roots. She has over 25 years of experience as a Certified Math Teacher and 15 years as a Principal in the State of Texas. She enjoys attending Bible Study at BSF and spending time with her family.
